Recently I suggested to Erika that we spend some time in the newsletter talking about sex. Regardless of your lived experience during the pandemic, chances are good your sex life changed. In our own ways, we have each been asked to sit with the question of how to grasp pleasure in a world that is sometimes scary, lonely, and vulnerable.  

So much of my work as a therapist involves sitting with people as they heal and honor different parts of themselves. Often the question comes up: how do we honor the parts of ourselves that relate to sex? For some of us, that might mean parts that hold joy and curiosity and play. For others, it might mean parts that hold shame or vulnerability and pain. For still others, it might mean parts that are finding their voice. Or a mix of all of the above!

Whether this newsletter finds you feeling connected and sexually satisfied, or blushing, I offer up these resources as an invitation. Get curious, explore, deepen and honor the parts of yourself that get to experience pleasure.
